Kathrin Romany Beckinsale, born 26 July 1973.[1][2][3[3] Kathrin Romany Beckinsale is an English actress from England. Her debut on film came following the appearance of a couple of small television roles. She was an Oxford University student when Much Ado About Nothing (1993). Beckinsale has appeared in British dramas like Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997), and The Golden Bowl ((2000). In the late 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in America. After appearing in small-scale dramatics The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), Beckinsale was a part of Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001) and Tiptoes (2003). Following her roles in The Aviator (2004) & Click (2006), she appeared as herself. All these films established her as a protagonist in Hollywood.Since acting as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has become known for her work in action movies, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012) and Total Recall (2012). She continues to make appearances in lesser dramatic films like Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008), as well as Everybody's Fine (2009). The reviews for her films were favorable for both of her previous films. The year 2016 brought high praise from critics. She won the Critics' Choice Movie Awards for Best Actress in a comedy film for Love & Friendship. Jolt (2021) was her second film. She also appeared in two TV projects, The Widow (2019) and Guilty Party (2021).
